πββοΈ Prerequisites for Enrollment
To participate in the Lifeguard Blended Learning Course, you must:
π Age Requirement: Be at least 15 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course.
π Swimming Skills Assessment: Successfully complete the following:

π Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence:
- Jump into the water and fully submerge.
- Resurface and swim 150 yards continuously using front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not permitted; swim goggles are allowed.
- Immediately tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.
- Swim an additional 50 yards using front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both.

β±οΈ Timed Event:
- Start in the water and swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water; swim goggles are not allowed.
- Surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
- Return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with both hands holding the object, keeping the face at or near the surface to breathe.
- Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
- Complete this sequence within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
